Today, a vibrant energy fills this room. A testament to the transformative power of education and opportunity.

We celebrate the graduation of 300 remarkable individuals. Individuals who dared to dream, embraced the chance to up skill, and are now poised to propel Kenya’s tourism industry to even greater heights.

For many years, a skills gap existed within our tourism sector. This gap threatened to limit our industry’s potential and hinder the delivery of exceptional guest experiences.

The Tourism Fund (TF), recognizing this challenge, spearheaded the creation of the Tourism Training Revolving Fund (TTRF).

The TTRF is not just about financial aid, it’s about investing in human capital, which is the most valuable asset of any industry.

Mr David K Mwangi, MBS, the Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Fund (TF)

This pioneering program removes financial barriers, allowing individuals like yourselves, regardless of background, to access the knowledge and skills needed to thrive.

The past two weeks have been an intensive period of learning. Under the expert guidance of Boma International Hospitality College (BIHC) faculty, you have honed your skills in various tourism and hospitality disciplines.

These newfound skills are not just qualifications on a resume, they are the tools that will empower you to excel in your chosen career paths.

Graduates, as you embark on your professional journeys, remember you are not just building your own careers, you are building the future of Kenyan tourism.

Your commitment to service excellence will resonate with every guest you encounter.

You will be the ones shaping how the world experiences Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and warm hospitality.

This graduation is a culmination of collaborative efforts. We extend our sincerest gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife for its dedicated support and to the BIHC for providing the much needed top-tier training.

Together, we have ignited a spark that will illuminate the path towards a brighter future for Kenyan tourism.

Also, today is just the beginning.

The TTRF will continue to empower individuals, bridge the skills gap, and elevate our tourism industry to new heights.

Congratulations, graduates! Go forth and showcase the best of Kenyan hospitality to the world.

We are incredibly proud of your achievements and excited to witness your journey unfold.

Thank you.
