Kenya’s leading hygiene brand, Dettol, took time off its busy schedule to educate Kenyans on the benefits behind healthy, glowing skin that come with the application of its newly reformulated Dettol Skincare soap.
The event, an informative master class session in Nairobi, was attended by Dettol Skincare’s new brand ambassador, Ms Sarah Hassan.
Reckitt Country Manager Asif Hashimi noted that the session provided attendees with the opportunity to hear from health experts on how to nurture their skin and harness the power of moisturization.

“Dry skin, wrinkles are signs of aging quickly, making someone look older than they are. Well-moisturized skin gives a natural glow, eliminating the need for extensive makeup,” said Ms Fidelia Nguli, a skincare and beauty expert.
Dr Tauhida Mbarak, a skin aesthetician, emphasized that poor diet significantly contributes to the development of dry skin among children and adults.
“Some people go eight to nine hours a day without drinking water despite consuming a lot of junk food thereby neglecting a balanced diet that includes greens and fruits.”
Additionally, using poor-quality cosmetics, which often flood the black market with high levels of hydroquinone and mercury, damages melanocytes- the skin cells responsible for colour.
This can cause the skin to swell and wrinkle, making a 20-year-old person look like they are 50 and above.
In addition to its high level of moisturization, Dettol Skincare soap keeps the skin beautifully hydrated and healthy while protecting it 99.9 percent from disease-causing germs and bacteria.

Nearly 30 percent of all cosmetic products sold in this market each year are in the skincare category, including body lotions, skin moisturizers, cleansers, toners, anti-acne, anti-aging, and facial products.
