Over 1.3 million Kenyans have won Sh122 million in the ongoing Coca Cola’s KachingChing na Coke promotion, with nine winners already becoming instant millionaires as the campaign enters its ninth week.

Coca-Cola country manager Mr Theuri Chege, said that the #KachingChingnaCoke promotion aims to distribute Sh163 million to over 2 million winners by the end of the campaign in August this year.

“So far, we have nine millionaires and expect to have four more by the end of the campaign in August,” said Mr Chege adding; “we know that this will directly transform the lives of our customers.”

Coca Cola has been awarding Sh1 million to one grand winner each week, 35 winners of Sh10,000, and thousands of winners between Sh50 and Sh100 daily during the campaign.

Together with its bottling partners, Coca Cola employs more than 700,000 people in the country both directly and indirectly as it promotes economic opportunities to local communities worldwide.

“In the previous years, we have offered trips and shopping vouchers. Considering the difficult economic times that Kenyans are facing, we decided to not only offer cash prizes but triple our previous reward amounts to directly impact our consumers’ lives,” said Mr Chege.

The millionaire winners so far have been drawn from Nairobi, Kajiado, Mombasa, Homa Bay, and Kericho counties.

Ms Phoebe Nafula was the first winner of the Sh1 million weekly grand prize when the promotion began in May this year.

“As a company, we are driven by our purpose to refresh the world and make a difference. We hope these cash prizes can be a catalyst for transformation in the lives of our consumers, which is the essence of this campaign,” added the country manager.

To participate in the promotion, consumers are invited to purchase Coca Cola beverages in 200ml, 300ml, and 500ml returnable glass bottles and check under the metal crown for a unique code.

Customers are then required to send the code to 40111 for a chance to win.

The promotion includes a wide range of Coca-Cola products, including the various Fanta brands, Sprite, Krest, Stoney, and Schweppes.

The Coca Cola Company is a total beverage company with products sold in more than 200 countries and territories.
