World’s largest beverage manufacturer and distributor, Coca-Cola, has inaugurated the Coca-Cola Food Fest, a campaign aimed at engaging university students through culinary creativity, delivering a unique and magical experience.

Immediately it was launched, Coca-Cola food fest, livened up campus events with delicious cuisine, boosts local vendors with a freshers’ night at Mount Kenya University.

Ms Monique Katana, the Director, Frontline Marketing at the Coca-Cola Kenya, noted that the event was nothing short of spectacular!

“The first-year students were welcomed in style, marking the start of their university journey with the vibrant Coca-Cola Food Fest,” said Ms Katana.

Coca-Cola is one of the largest corporations in the United States, and one of the most successful brands in marketing history. A popular nickname for Coca-Cola is ‘Coke’.

The Coca-Cola was first made in Columbus, Georgia, USA and the company is on record saying that the beverage is sold in more than 200 countries

During the inauguration, celebrity chef and fashion aficionado Chef wa Easlando showcased his culinary talents and engaged with students, giving them the opportunity to sample his dishes.

The students were not left behind as they also enjoyed pairing “these dishes” with a 200ml bottle of Coca-Cola, sold at an affordable price of just KShs 20.

Earlier this month, University of Nairobi students also had a taste of the Coca-Cola Food Fest during their Freshers’ Night, as they welcomed their first-year peers.

Ms Katana noted that The Coca-Cola Food Fest is more than just an event for sampling great food.

“This is about creating lasting memories and providing students with experiences they can carry with them throughout their time at university. It’s a way for Coca-Cola to connect with its customers in meaningful ways, while also giving back to the local vendors,” said Ms Katana.

The Coca-Cola Food Fest which ends in December, will also light up Freshers’ Night at Moi University in Eldoret, followed by the Miss and Mister Maseno University and Kenyatta University pageant in October.

In November, the festival will also stop at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and Egerton University’s Cultural Week.
